Pruning

A rose bush looks beautiful when the flowers bloom.

The different colours of roses and the smell, a fragrant perfume.

They look wonderful and reflect God's amazing creation.

But a rose bush has to be looked after.

You can't allow it to grow wild and free.

It needs to be pruned.

Branched need to be chopped off.

You have to look at the bush and see if there are any branches that are dead and just no good.

Are there any branches that are growing wild ?

The bush needs to be nicely trimmed so that it is ready for the new season of roses.

Pruning is cutting the branches.

Sometimes God does a pruning in our life.

He looks to see what is dead in our life, what is no good and he will do a pruning.

What is running wild and free? God will come in and prune it.

That can be a painful process but, in the process, God is making us more like him so that we bear more fruit.

So even though it is painful we should never despise it because from it you will produce more fruit to the glory of God.

So, when you face the sharp cut of pruning, know that God is doing a work inside of you and rejoice as you endure the suffering.
