One of the 10 commandments commands us not to have any other god but God.
It makes me think of a man making his own god out of gold or silver.
He shapes it and crafts it and then he worships it.
But a god can be anything we put ahead of the one true God.
Money can be a god, If your whole focus or attention is to make as much money as possible then you have made money your god.
Football can be a god, you spend all your time and energy playing the game.
In themselves these things aren't wrong, they are given to us by God to enjoy but when they begin to replace God then there is a problem,
we have made them our objects of worship, just like the man who takes his gold or silver and makes an object to worship.
God would like some of our time because the reason he created you was to have a relationship with you .
God sees you as special and worth spending time with.
Spend some time with him today .
