Running away

There is nowhere to hide.

Jonah had been given a message from God and God expected him to deliver it to the people of Ninivah.

But Jonah didn't want to deliver the message so instead he ran away.

He went in the opposite direction of where he was supposed to go.

But can you really run away from God?

God is everywhere! There is no where to hide.

Jonah found that out.

Even inside the belly of a fish God was there, and thankfully for Jonah God was there because when Jonah came to his senses, he got down on his knees inside the belly of the fish and said Sorry to God.

God heard him from inside a fish in the ocean.

God still loved Jonah even though he was in rebellion.

God listened to Jonah when he humbly came to him in repentance.

There is a good lesson for us all.

If you life hasn't worked your way then try God's way.

Humble yourself before him and he will turn your life around and give you real purpose.

God is just a prayer away.
