A lot of countries are having elections this year, it is an opportunity for you and me to say who we want representing us.
The person who wins the election is my representative, so it is very important to vote.
Every vote counts.
England had an election recently and they got a new Prime minister, in November America will vote and all those votes will be counted up and maybe there will be a new president.
But it is the people who put them there.
Your vote matters and your vote counts.
Many people have died over the years defending nations so that we can have the freedom to vote.
So we should honour them by voting ourselves.
Who represents your opinions and views the best ?
Who do you feel will represent you?
Democracy isn't a dictatorship, someone is voted in and they can be very easily voted out again if they don't do a good job.
