God's best
The Crucifixion was a terrible day in history, It shows how low man can go.
As you read the bible you see that Jesus was a good person.
He was for the people, He was a shepherd looking after the sheep.
He didn't tell them what they wanted to hear, he told them what they needed to hear.
He healed their bodies and destroyed their diseases.
But if you look at the religious leaders of the day, They didn't like Jesus.
Jesus was gaining more and more recognition, He was teaching the people, But the religious leaders didn't like it.
Instead of lifting heavy burdens they were adding to them.
Jesus was a threat and they wanted him out of the way.
They didn't look at the good he was doing, they didn't see that the people liked him, they just looked at their own selfish gain.
They plotted, all they needed was a betrayer, and they found him.
Judas !!
A name that has gone down in history, a name that is linked to betrayal.
Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.
But as you read the story, money didn't satisfy Judas.
He received the money, it was his but it didn't satisfy because it came with guilt.
He had betrayed his friend.
Even when he gave the money back the guilt ate at him, Judas never enjoyed one penny of that money and ultimately he killed himself because of what he did.
Humanity at its worst.
Jesus was condemned to die, But even though Humanity was at its worst, God was at his best, He turned it around for good and brought forgiveness to the whole world.
What a mighty God we serve.
